I am so proud of this work. This painting was born into a time where I was fearful of picking up oil painting again and boy did I prove myself wrong. This large 36x36 painting swept me away as different pieces of my life and my desires began to weave their way into this work. Heavily inspired by textiles and botanical imagery around my home these vibrant shapes began to take place. Imagery includes two romantic love bugs intertwined, a hanging neon pothos, and a freshly started weaving on a loom, along with striking abstract shapes and layers. Hanging in my dining room now it practically glows when you walk into the room. I almost can’t stand to part with it.
